I am a media professional and cinephile with a passion for storytelling through film and television. For the past two and a half years I have been leading my own independent production company through the completion of The Better Part, a film currently in the festival circuit run. I have recently relocated to the Los Angeles area where I plan to continue growing in my craft of writing, directing, and film production. I am seeking opportunities to learn from industry veterans and create media that is moving, poignant, and persuasive.

When I was eight years old, I found myself in a dimmed movie theater, mesmerized by a film trailer for the Pixar film, WALL-E.

Andrew Stanton, the director of Finding Nemo, told the story of how he, and a few other Pixar executives sat down in 1996 for a lunch, brainstorming ideas that would eventually become films I came to love.

Films that became the worn-out VHS tapes I carefully rewound and rewatched immediately after, the films my sister and cousins and I would vote to watch on long car rides to and from our grandparents house, and the childhood lessons that I would learn and carry with me into my adulthood.

As I heard him speak, I had a moment of realization, even at the young age of eight years old I understood that these films he so casually mentioned had had a profound effect on me, and each one started as a small story pitch at one lunch.

This was "movie magic" he was talking about, and I knew I wanted in.
